Is your fitness routine in drastic need of a change-up? Tired of group fitness classes and working out at the gym? (Don’t worry this is not another article telling you to buy new fitness gear and skip through fields full of daisies instead of pounding the pavement). We’ve found a super cool way to challenge you physically and mentally. Introducing Secret Cities Scavengers Hunts—described as a cross between the Amazing Race and a walking tour on Red Bull. It involves racing around your local area in the hunt for clues, solving puzzles, completing challenges and searching for hidden gems—rail, hail or shine.

You can get a bunch of your reality TV junkie friends who think they could single-handedly be the sole Survivor or the winner of the Amazing race and join in one of the upcoming hunts. No matter what you decide you’re bound to have the adventure of a lifetime, burn some serious calories and make new friends along the way. It’s even family friendly. The only criteria is each team must have someone who’s 18 years or over. You’ll be too busy have fun to notice you’re working out.

Scavengers hunts are a great alternative way to provide bonding for your boot camp recruits, hen’s and bucks nights, or simply a change from the treadmill.

Hunts usually go for about two hours, and you’ll want to hang around afterward for the finale prize-giving.

Prices: $30 an adult. Teams of 5 are $120.
